This eight hour course is intended to bring the emergency medical professional up to speed on the latest concepts of medical rescue response to active shooter incidents, and how to integrate their operations with those of law enforcement.

0900 - 1000 – Response Principles
1000 – 1100 – Necessary Preparations; Medical Aspects
1100 – 1200 – Tactical Specifics
1200 – 1300 - Lunch
1300 – 1400 – Bleeding Control
1400 – 1500 – Extraction
1500 – 1630 – Practical application
1630 – 1700 – Closing comments; Evaluation; Certificate Presentation

This seminar is being held as a preconference activity of the annual conference of the Louisiana Association of Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technicians which will follow it in June 19; 2019 at the same venue. However, participation will not be limited to conference participants. There will be a minimum number of eight students required to hold the class.
The cost of this seminar is $80.00. It will include lunch and one year’s membership in the Louisiana Tactical EMS Society. Those completing the class will receive eight (8) hours of EMT continuing education.
The deadline for the class is 06-01-2019. The class requires a minimum of eight (8) students. If the class does meet the minimum requirements you will be notified.
